About Chevy
Chevy was bred by Dymatan Kennel in Queensland, whose breeding program focuses on conformationally correct, working-capable dogs with excellent temperaments.
She later joined FAREWELLHILL after being acquired from Morview Kennels.
Chevy is a beautifully marked blue Australian Cattle Dog with a distinctive double mask and rich tan points. She brought carefully selected bloodlines, strong breed type and her own individual qualities to the FAREWELLHILL family.
Show Achievements
Chevy was shown very successfully before joining FAREWELLHILL.
She earned the required points under Dogs Australia regulations to attain her Australian Champion Title before arriving in Tasmania.
Chevy has not been shown by Alison, but her earlier achievements remain an important part of her story and reflect the quality recognised throughout her show career.
Chevy’s Personality
From the time Chevy arrived at FAREWELLHILL, it quickly became clear that Alison was her person. She formed a strong bond with Alison and remains an exceptionally loyal and devoted companion.
Chevy can be aloof and tends to form a particularly close relationship with one person. She is observant, determined and serious by nature, although she also enjoys accompanying Alison on the ute while collecting firewood and relaxing beside the fire pit.
Her daily outings include walks to the letterbox, through the surrounding bushland and up to the top of FAREWELLHILL, helping keep her active, fit and healthy.
Chevy as a Mother
Chevy has raised two litters at FAREWELLHILL, with her puppies going on to successful working homes all over Australia and New Caledonia.
She is an excellent and devoted mother who takes great care of her puppies.
Moe is Chevy’s favourite canine companion, and the two get along beautifully. Together, they have produced some striking puppies that combine qualities from both parents.
