What You Receive

Welcoming a FAREWELLHILL puppy into your family is an exciting experience. We aim to keep you informed and supported throughout the journey, from the time your puppy is allocated until long after they have settled into their new home.

Each family receives important information, health records, registration documents and ongoing support from Alison.

Preparing for Your Puppy

Once you have been offered a FAREWELLHILL puppy, a Purchase Agreement will be emailed to you to read, sign and return.

You will also receive a comprehensive Puppy Information Pack in both digital and printed formats. This provides helpful information to assist you in preparing for your puppy’s arrival and supporting them as they settle into their new home.

Follow Their Journey

Waiting to welcome your puppy home is a very special time. Alison will share photographs and videos with you as your puppy grows, allowing you to follow their development and enjoy important milestones along the way.

These updates help you begin building a connection with your puppy before the day finally arrives to bring them home.

Health and Hearing Records

At approximately seven and a half weeks of age, you will receive copies of your puppy’s important health records by email. Printed copies will also be posted to you.

These records include:

  • Veterinary Certificate of Health Check
  • Your puppy’s microchip number
  • BAER hearing test results

BAER testing assesses the hearing response in each ear and helps identify unilateral or bilateral hearing loss.

Pedigree and Registration

Your puppy will be registered with Dogs Australia through Dogs Tasmania.

A three-generation pedigree certificate will be issued and posted to you within 90 days of your puppy leaving FAREWELLHILL. This certificate records important information about your puppy, including their registered name, registration details, microchip number and family lineage.

Dogs Australia describes pedigree papers as an official record of a purebred dog’s identity and ancestry. Dogs Australia – Importance of Pedigree Papers

Lifetime Breeder Support

Alison’s support does not end when your puppy leaves FAREWELLHILL.

FAREWELLHILL families are encouraged to remain in contact and share updates as their puppies grow. Alison is available to provide guidance and support throughout your dog’s life and welcomes questions about settling in, feeding, training, development and general care.

If circumstances ever change and you are no longer able to care for your dog, Alison asks that you contact FAREWELLHILL first so she can provide support and help determine the best way forward.
